Just a few kilometers from our hotel, in the village of Borsi in present-day Slovakia, stands the castle where Ferenc Rákóczi II – the namesake of our hotel – was born. The beautifully restored building is a fitting tribute to the prince: its modern, interactive exhibition offers visitors an immersive insight into Rákóczi’s life and the atmosphere of the 17th century.

In the depths of Sárospatak’s former millstone quarry lies one of the Zemplén region’s most spectacular natural treasures: the Tarn of Megyer Hill. Its steep cliffs, crystal-clear water, and via ferrata route attract lovers of active recreation.
